The hardest part of meeting your resolutions is overhauling your whole life to meet your goals. We write out our goals, share them and then we forget them. It's easy to write out a list ... because after all, we want to improve. However, pushing ourselves to the limit may not be the healthiest or smartest approach.
Make a list... but keep it simple. Be realistic with your goals. And dedicate time to keep your focus.
- Keep It Simple: Short and simple almost always works. Instead of taking on a die hard diet - remove something from your diet (ie sugar). Year after year I tried a number of diets and after a few work outs... I would quit. I felt overwhelmed... exhausted and not as happy as I hoped. So I started by letting go of the soft drinks, then the coffee and soon after the sugar. Although, I feel healthier I know there is more work to be done. But I will not allow myself to stress over it anymore. this year... I will start with walks around the park.
- Keep It Real: I've also come to term that I am not as dedicated to too much change. I know the things I would like to do... but I can't do them all so I think I will stick to the things that I would benefit from. I will continue taking some courses that will help with my business. But for now... I think that is more than okay.
- Stay Focused: This is something that we tend to all lose. After feeling frustrated with the new challenges we tend to quit all together. Again, by keeping it simple and real... I should be able to focus without too much distractions.
